National Dental Hygiene Month

October is National Dental Hygiene Month!

Just wanted to make sure everyone knew where some of my past dental hygiene care posts were:
And this is an article I found might be an interesting read called "10 Things Your Dentist Wants To Tell You".

Try to visit your dentist every 6 months and get those bitewing x-rays once a year! Those help the dentist to see if you have any cavities between your teeth that just looking in your mouth can't do!

October is a pretty important month to raise awareness for lots of different issues. Other than Dental Hygiene, there is also Breast Cancer Awareness, Domestic Violence Awareness, and you can go here to see the other observances in this month.

Stay healthy, educated, safe, and remember to be nice to all people, even if they are not like yourself!

Great post. And I checked out all the links, including your former posts, and was really inspired by all of them. I am definitely doing the sugar free gum thing.

And that dentist article reminded me of a lesson I learned last year. For six months I was drinking Vitamin Water nonstop and discovered at my dentist appointment that I had SIX cavities (after having zero for 26 years). She told me it was most likely the Vitamin Water and I was absolutely horrified. I thought that shit was supposed to be healthy and instead it decayed my mouth. Gross! :(
